The original Mountain Valley course opened in 1970. The course was designed by David W. Gordon. The course was redesigned in 1997 by Brian T. Ault (Ault Clark & Associates). At this same time a new 9-holes designed by Brain Ault was opened and named The Oak Course. The original 18 hole course was divided into two nines named The Maple Course and The Pine Course. For a time, Mountain Valley was a 27 hole facility with mix and match of nine hole combinations.
In 2009 an additional nine hole Brain Ault course opened. This was the Hemlock Course.
Now a 36 hole facility, Mountain Valley's nine(s) are now played as two distict 18 hole championship courses. They are The Valley Course made of the Maple and Oak nines and The Mountain nine made of the Pine and Hemlock nines.
If I confused you with this description of events...it is because it is just a wee bit complicated.
